We recently got together with Diane from Bustled Events for a quick chat on a topic a lot of our clients have asked us about. Venue coordinators vs. Event coordinators, what's the difference, and if I have one, do I need the other?
As with all things wedding-related, It depends on your goals.
Read below to see what Diane says.
There are a lot of details that go into your big day. There are so many vendors working behind the scenes to make your day unique and individual to you.
A venue coordinator works for the venue and focuses on all things related to that location. Their duties could include setup of the space, food (if catering is in-house), managing their staff, and making sure the facilities are ready for you to use.
An event coordinator is an independent professional who works directly for you. (sometimes we're called wedding planners) Our focus is on you and your wedding as a whole. We work with the venue coordinator and all of your other vendors and wedding party to make sure everyone is where they need to be at the right time.
We are the one point of contact for all of your vendors so you can relax and enjoy your day. Your event coordinator is there with you the entire day, from pinning on boutonnières to staying through clean up.
Hope that helps! If you have any questions about your wedding planning process, feel free to reach out to me HERE.
Happy Planning!
